Wolfenstein Cyberpilot is a first-person perspective VR shooter game, developed by Machine Games and published by Bethesda. It is another spin-off installment in the Wolfenstein series, taking place between the events of the New Colossus and Youngblood. The game uses the full capabilities of VR systems available on the market to provide the player with the first-hand Wolfenstein experience. In the game, the player is a nameless hacker, working with the resistance in Nazi-occupied France. Their job is to take control over the enemy mech soldiers and turn them against their masters.GameplayThe core gameplay of Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot remains true to the series’ roots, now transferred into virtual reality. Using the VR device’s left- and right-hand controls, the player wills the mech to move and shoot at oncoming enemies.The mechs under the player’s control vary and include familiar Panzerhunds – fire-breathing mechanical dogs, as well as more conventional mechs armed with machine guns and rocket launchers. The gameplay differs depending on the mech the player controls – Panzerhunds are faster and more agile, making maneuvering and flanking enemies a lot easier.
