2017 Reprint of Circa 1920 Edition Published by Charles H. Kerr. Although delivered as a speech, this paper remained unpublished until after Marx's death. It reads like a condensed version of Capital Volume 1, and contains Marx's essential arguments about the workings of capital. Those wanted to avoid reading the entirety of Capital Volume 1 will find an excellent introduction to Marx's ideas in this short publication.
