Uniqueness of Jesus Christ in History : Who Was Jesus What Has He Done That We Remember Him Still

In our modern times, nothing could possibly be more fascinating than the fact that far away from the centers of learning and civilization, in an unlearned and uncivilized province called Galilee in first century Palestine, was born a man of humble and low means whose life and teaching turned the world upside down. In a short span of roughly three years, with confidence and authority, He taught the fishermen and laborers in Galilee the message of Repentance, God’s love and His Kingdom. Nevertheless, His teaching captured the hearts and minds of thousands of people and proved to be so effective that in few generations its reverberations could be felt across many corners of the Roman Empire. Remarkably, within four centuries, He won the allegiance and devotion of King and peasant, rich and poor, learned and illiterate alike. For more than two thousand years, He has made reunion with God possible for tens of millions of people around the world and in the process has produced holy and heavenly individuals who are "Salt of the earth”. Emperors of Rome left no stone unturned with ruthless power, unjust policies, and horrible oppression to obliterate His teaching and movement. Ironically, they were dead and gone, but His teaching and movement continued to gain following and enlighten the hearts and minds of millions of people. Many leaders and Kings relentlessly conspired against His message, but it would not bow before them and always emerged miraculously victorious.
