Inscribed on the front endpaper and dated 1991 and signed by Bud Conkle's wife Lenora (Bud passed on in 1985). This book is based on the letters and diaries of Alaska Master Guide Bud Conkle. While on long hunts, he regularly wrote letters to his wife, Lenora, detailing his adventures. He also had a great volume of correspondence with prospective hunters, as well as with clients and friends he had guided. These stories span from the 1940s through his death in 1985.
