Nihon Falcom created the 2015 adventure performance videogame Tokyo Xanadu. Nihon Falcom began the title as a spin-off of the 1985 combat role-playing video Game Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu to provide something distinct from their other role-playing Game brands, The Legend of Heroes and Ys. The PlayStation Vita Game was made available in Japan in September 2015 and went global in June 2017. In addition to a Windows version, an improved edition of the title called Tokyo Xanadu eX+ was published on the PlayStation 4 in Japan in September 2016 and globally in December 2017.
