Release This one word best describes the triumphs and tribulations that I’ve experienced as a child, teenager, wife, mother, and a woman. Per definition: Release- to escape from confinement; set free. Ironically, my womanhood was mastered after multiple dynamics and threats transpired in my life. Events that left me captured and bound in sin prolonging my adolescence with the excuse of a destructive past. No one taught me how to love, how to submit or trust God’s will over my own. Yet, I never attempted to find out on my own, until Christ came into my life and disrupted my entire comfort zone. See, to grow I could no longer be comfortable and to sustain love, peace and joy in a comfortable environment, I needed Christ. Although, I was given the keys to playing “The Game” and getting what I needed to survive in the physical realm. My spirit man was suffering. “The Release” is impeccable because it depicts my fall, awakening and breakthrough. Each stage a pertinent milestone in my development and the foundation for the woman I am today, who God created me to be. Although, the journey is ongoing I no longer fear the unknown, nor am I imprisoned with fear, insecurity, doubt, rejection and unforgiveness. I have been renewed and transformed in my mind which is by the grace of God. Moving forward my mission is to be used by God, armed with The Word, to share my testimony and contribute to the release of others enslaved by “The Game”.
