Gameplay The Last of Us Part 1 is a survival game that emphasises a slow-paced and careful approach to encounters with enemies. It's post-apocalypse, the resources are scarce and ammo is a rare commodity. You'll have to scavenge whatever materials you can find and craft makeshift weapons, tools and healing items. Such equipment naturally is not very durable and might brake after a short while, that's why you can never feel overprepared and remember not to waste your resources. This is also the reason why combat in The Last of Us Part 1 is more stealth oriented. Prolonged gunfights are just not possible. You have to take down enemies with makeshift weapons: knives and arrows. Different enemies require a different approach. Regular zombies are not too difficult to outsmart, but hostile survivors pose a much larger threat. But the worst are the clickers, blind zombies that are very sensitive to sound. One wrong step might be the end of you, so tread carefully.
