ESO: Greymoor introduces a new area – the titular region located in the west of Skyrim. This new land is unlike anything the player has seen before – snow-covered peaks rise high above windy vales and meadows, and dark corners of the region hide many secrets. The Standard Edition includes the base game, Greymoor expansion, as well as some of the other DLCs, released for the ESO – Morrowind, Summerset, and Elsweyr. The continent of Tamriel opens its doors to the player, providing them with all the excitement of the fantastical land. Those unfamiliar with the rules of ESO should start with the base game to learn the ropes of the gameplay.The player begins their adventure in Tamriel by creating their character. The protagonist can represent one of three general races: Humans, Elves, and Beasts. Each of the races has several sub-categories - Nords, Redguards, Bretons, and Imperials for Humans, Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, and Orcs for the elven races and Khajiit and Argonians for the Bestial peoples.Each of the races has its unique qualities, which the player can develop throughout the game. These attributes include attacks, spells, skills and more. They are dependent on the class the player chooses for their character. These are: Dragonknight, Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar, Warden, and Necromancer.Explore Western Skyrim and take on the region's challengesThe Greymoor expansion introduces yet unexplored, western regions of Skyrim. Often called the Black Marsh, Greymoor is a terrifying country where evil rarely sleeps. The expansion introduces several new gameplay mechanics. A new "Antiquities" system allows the player to explore the region in search of valuable items. Said items are artifacts of Tamriel's past; digging them out will provide the player with the lore of the land and guide them toward becoming a top-class archaeologist.Other new features added in Greymoor are Harrowstorms. These cataclysmic phenomena have plagued the land for a long time, draining life from nature and turning men and beasts into monsters. Taking them down will be one of the player's task as their roam Western Skyrim.Greymoor introduces new trial missions: Kyne's Aegis. Up to 12 players can team up in defense of the titular fortress from Sea Giants ad other monsters.The last addition are new rewards, which can be found in chests hidden in the region. The player can locate said chests and find treasures hidden within. In Morrowind, the player can explore the island of Vvardenfell, try out a new character class – the Warden and experience a new story, set before the events of The Elder Scrolls III. Morrowind also adds a new PVP mode – Battlegrounds, where three teams of four players can face in battle arena-like combat – a new 12-player trial – Halls of Fabrication. Summerset introduces the player to the high elves' kingdom and the cities within. The story is set around the politics of high elves' nobility. Summerset adds a new faction: the Psijic Order, which the player can join and acquire new skills from.
