Steelplate Script

Steelplate Script is a revival typeface based on an elegant vintage script of the same name, Steelplate Script by American Type Founders in 1923. Ever since I acquired my ATF Speciment Book published in 1923 and only 60,000 copies were printed , I've been eyeing on this script. It was classy, slightly formal, yet organic and in my eyes, a rarity. Later I searched through cyberspace for months trying to find a digital font of this beauty - turned out no one has really paid enough attention to it to make that happen. I figured if I want to use the script, I'll have to make it myself. And this font is the result of that thought. Nuts and bolts: - Absolutely lovely typeface, Steelplate Script works very well for vintage theme project. Imagine this in an invitation card. - Authentically includes all numbers and english alphabets, dollar sign, and couple more symbols. All were taken from the original design with minimal alteration. - Imperfect glyph drawings that's made from old print. Less stiff and more alive.
