When you are viewing them on your screen, you may see what is called a moir pattern. Fine textures can often produce this effect, especially when viewed on a digital screen. For the moir interference pattern to appear, the two patterns must not be completely identical, but rather e.g. displaced, rotated or have slightly different pitch such as is the case with denim and other fabrics. This effect does not translate to print when used at its current resolution.
