Nine years in the making, this extensively researched and fully illustrated book details the history of Blythe Army Air Base in California. Here, two-engine dive bombers provided air support for General Patton's Desert Training Center followed by combat crew training for B-17 and B-24 heavy bombers. Assigned units included the 34th, 46th, 85th, 390th and 398th Bomb Groups.
