The Reloop USB Mixtape Recorder with Retro Cassette Look is a pocket-sized USB interface that allows you to record nearly any audio source directly to a USB stick or USB drive. The Tape saves your files as MP3s, either 320 or 192 bit files. It features a single button record function and several LED indicator lights to make sure you are recording properly (including the all-important peak indicator to make sure your mixes are not too loud). The Tape is useful for recording mixes on the fly or burning a vinyl track to MP3. A excellent feature for turntable owners is the inclusion of a PHONO switchable input, which allows your to record directly from a turntable (no mixer or preamp needed). There's even a grounding post to provide grounding. There's a couple important things you should know about the Tape. Firstly, it comes with a detachable power cord that needs to be plugged in to operate. Secondly if you are using Tape in a DJ setup: unless your mixer has a separate booth or REC output to plug the Tape into, you'll need to use the 3.5mm stereo thru output to route the sound to your speaker system.
