RAD is a rouge-like 3D action game for PC. In RAD the player controls one of the teenagers, who enter the Fallow – a radioactive wasteland inhabited by all sorts of mutated monstrosities. The player must lead their character through the Fallow, fending off mutants using their trusty bat.During the gameplay, the player’s character will acquire various mutant abilities that will help them against the threats of the Fallow. The game was met with positive critical and player reception.Radical gameplayRAD’s gameplay is similar to other rogue-like titles on the market. The player observes the action from an elevated angle and travels across the procedurally generated landscapes of the Fallow – a land destroyed by a radioactive apocalypse. The player’s character is armed only with a bat, with which they will slam their way through mutated enemies. While traveling, the player will collect rads. After gathering enough of them, a random mutation will occur, giving the player unique new abilities. RAD features a permadeath system, where the players' character can be lost for good. He is then replaced with another teen, who continues the journey.Blossoming storyMany can be said about the Fallow, but pretty it ain’t. After a devastating radioactive apocalypse, this once colorful and lush with flowers land has become a barren desert, a home to the vilest mutants. But there is hope for this wretched land, and this hope lies with you. With your trusty bat and mutant powers, you must travel through the desolate wastelands of the Fallow and find a way to return it to its former beauty. The path will be dangerous and chances for success are slim.
