Happy Holidays everyone! Need an easy last minute gift or holiday kids activity for the little ones in your life? One of my favorite holiday traditions is eating gingerbread cookies and seeing all the amazing creations people make out of flour and frosting. Many, many moons ago, I seem to recall attempting to make a gingerbread man from scratch we had a beautifully illustrated childrens book with a recipe for one . I remember my artist eye, though young, was unsatisfied that it didn't look like the pictures, not to mention it was a royal mess to clean up. Parents, I'm sure you understand. Your kids give you that look saying "oh please let us bake and decorate a gingerbread house! Please Please PLEASE?!" And the only thing running through your mind is the absurd amount of teeth rotting candy you'll need to obtain and the sheer amounts of flour and sugar that will end up everywhere but in the bowl. I know what you're thinking. Has your stomach sunk yet? But wait! There is a way to make gingerbread houses without the mess! Inspired by my love of gingerbread and a weird addiction to paper dolls I had as a child, I created this little set of complete gingerbread pieces. No baking, frosting, or candy-food-fights required!
