Practical Buddhism. The Kagyu Path.

Practical Buddhism aims at helping the beginning student learn to make every daily activity - all experience - a step on the direct path to Enlightenment through the teachings of the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan masters. In the West, Buddhism has provided both philosophical and psychological systems to transform confusion and suffering into heightened states of awareness, fearlessness and joy. By removing obscurations and undesirable mental patterns, one can see things as they really are and come to know one's true nature. Each individual, however, must learn to embody and integrate these teachings into the daily complexity of modern Western living, so that one's knowledge and actions become an inseparable totality. While intended to be brief, this booklet contains a concise explanation of the proper "view" and very practical advice on how to cultivate awareness in daily life.
