What is Nothing? At first, the answer might seem simple, but countless scientists, artists and writers have come to realise that the idea is much more complicated than it seems. This important new book, produced by the British artist Graham Gussin together with curator Ele Carpenter, investigates the subject. Concepts such as absence, invisibility, outer space and infinity, all of which form part of what we think of as Nothing, have played a key role in the work of artists as well as scientists throughout the twentieth century.
