Meditation For African Americans Igniting the Inner Light

Meditation is a way of connecting the dots between the grand theories about spirituality and the reality of one's life. Consequently, this is often the issues in all "spiritual" minded-people, they do not make the connection or transition from the theoretical to the practical. However, if you take this practice to heart, the dynamics of a fresh new vision will open before you. Our goal was not only to introduce you to the value of meditation but to ground you in the history of this beautiful science. Our Ancient African Ancestors created this wonderful science - via the Mystery System thousands of years ago, but as it was pointed out that we as a people somehow lost our connection and for many of us no longer identify or want to identify with it. We must recover and re-Africanize the spiritual teachings of Ma'at in that it will empower and advance us to fulfill our individual and collective dreams. Through the practice of meditation, we must see the connection of our moral purpose and moral integrity that will clearly guide us on the correct path. An African-centered understanding of consciousness would recognize that, at the most fundamental level, consciousness is found in the "pulse" that gives human beings life.
