The 2.5 HP* Big Bore™ Air Compressor from Makita® features a roll-cage design that protects it from damage even when used on rough jobsites. It boasts a 2.5-hp motor that delivers a low noise output of only 79dB, or about as loud as a garbage disposal. The 4-pole motor of this 2.5-hp air compressor delivers 4.2 cfm at 90 psi and operates at a low 1,730 rpm, improving the lifespan of the oil pump inside the compressor. For added protection, the motor features an integrated thermal overload. The oil-lubricated pump reduces operating temperatures as well to prevent damage to the Makita air compressor and lengthen its lifespan. Maintaining the air compressor is simple and quick thanks to the removable cast-iron Big Bore cylinder and oil sight glass.
