Magnolia Pattern

I open the photos on my computer screen and draw them on my touchpad in Adobe Illustrator. Drawing with a stylus on the tablet screen completely frees up all my drawing abilities and I draw in the program as detailed and accurate as if I were drawing on paper. In my technique I use strokes to convey the shape and color of the flower at the same time. I use a blending mode of translucent layers of color, like in watercolor where we use paint strokes of diluted watercolor. All these steps lead to a result in which you get realistic plants hand drawn with love of detail. The main advantage of this pattern is that it is drawn in vector format.
