Mafia 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games. It is the sequel to 2002’s Mafia and features a brand-new story set in the fictional, New York-inspired Empire Bay. The player takes the reins as Vito Scaletta, a Sicilian immigrant who becomes involved in the criminal underworld of the city. The game’s main features involve roaming the open-world environment, on foot and in a vehicle, and taking on missions from various NPCs, which often end in extensive firefights. Open world gameplayThe action of the game is set in the fictionalized version of Chicago, New York and Los Angeles – Empire Bay. As Vito Scaletta, the protagonist of the game, the player’s task is to move up on the mafia ladder, by carrying out tasks for various characters.
