HOW TO USE1 Turn the detector on with the ON OFF switch Hold the detector near a metal object You should hear an audible tone Adjust the volume to acomfortable level 2 Now hold the detector well away in the air from any metal objects this is best done outside 3 Adjust the Sensitivity Control knob until you can only just barely hear the tone 4 Now turn the Sensitivity Control knob back until it just barely stops this is NOW the most sensitive detection setting 5 Now bring the detector back down and glide it back and forth with the search coil about 1 27cm half an inch from the ground 6 Move the search head slowly around the area if you move too fast you may miss something 7 You will probably find lots of bottle caps metal pull tabs and foil wrap You should collect these and dispose of them in the relevant recycling bins Do not be discouraged Keep searching and you will be sure to find some rewarding objects 8 CAUTION DO NOT DIP THE SEARCH COIL IN WATER THIS IS NOT AN UNDERWATER METAL DETECTOR YOU WILL DAMAGETHE UNIT RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENTRespect the environment and be thoughtful Its generally wise to take an extra bag along for any rubbish you dig up It is good practice to remove andproperly discard these findings instead of burying them again Do not leave rubbish for other coin hunters to find When recovering lost items alwaysmake the smallest hole possible and return the ground surface to the way it was before you started to dig Do not use a shove
