Steel recessed enclosure for 8" driver, slight taper (stackable). Features one planished knockout on top to preserve leak-free integrity of enclosure in return air plenum, four side knockouts, plus two mounting straps. For new or existing construction. Knockouts One planished knockout (0.5") on top to preserve leakfree integrity of enclosure in return air plenums. Four (0.5-0.75") side knockouts placed at 90-degree intervals. Lining Polyurethane foam disc helps reduce acoustic or mechanical resonance. Disc meets UL flammability CAL-117 for resonance and vibration control. Straps Two flexible perforated straps for use with seismic-restraint cables or when enclosure is to be suspended in an open architecture application. Hardware Factory-installed 8-32 retaining clips can mount a standard screw-mount grille.
