Franois Lesage, master embroiderer, is the heir to a long artistic tradition of paying service to luxury and distinctive dress. His work embodies the changes in fashion during the twentieth century. The Lesage name is associated with the most remarkable haute couture masterpieces: from the purity of Madeleine Vionnet to the extravagant surrealism of Elsa Schiaparelli, from the perfection of Balenciaga to Karl Lagerfeld's feats for Chanel.
