John Wesley's Prayer Book

Here, for the first time in this century, is the full resource of Mr. Wesley s Sunday Service of the Methodists in North America. Sent to the growing Methodist Societies in the United States in 1784, it was the product of John Wesley s careful abridgement of the Book of Common Prayer, intended to serve as a guide for the ordering of worship for what was to become the first American church. Included in this facsimile reproduction is the collection of Collects for each Sunday of the year, the complete lectionary and Wesley s A Collection of Psalms and Hymns, which was bound into the original volume.
