Introduction to meteorology

This edition reflects and improved organization, simplification of some of the more technical discussions, and, where applicable, incorporation of state-of-the-art advances made since publication of the second edition. I have given special attention to the increased role of environmental and meteorological satellites in weather analysis and forecasting. In addition, I completly revised the sections on weather forecastingh to bring this presentation in line with current practices.
