For the last 25 years, Burkett has captured exhilarating, exuberant and worshipful landscapes, with a clarity and brilliance that have established him as one of the premier color photographers of his time. Three essays by noted scholars complement the photographs in Intimations of Paradise, examining Burkett's work from three different perspectives. Burkett spent over 2 years perfecting the color separations for the 73 images featured in the book. The result is a book that truly reflects the color and detail of his original photographs.
