Cumi asin adalah cumi-cumi atau sotong yang diawetkan dengan garam kering dan kemudian disajikan untuk disantap. Pengeringan atau penggaraman, entah dengan garam kering atau air garam banyak dipakai sebagai metode pengawetan makanan laut.

Setiap 100 gram cumi-cumi mengandung sedikitnya 10 mcg vitamin A, 56 mcg vitamin B6, 1,3 mcg vitamin B12, 4,7 mg vitamin C, dan 1,2 mg vitamin E. Selain vitamin-vitamin tersebut, kandungan mineral yang bisa didapatkan antara lain 32 mg kalsium, 680 mcg zat besi, 33 mg magnesium, dan 44 mg sodium setiap 100 gram cumi.
