If you bitmap your channels the manual way, Hi-Fi will speed up your workflow exponentially and add tons of functionality. Unlike similar products, Hi-Fi Ink Halftones is simply not a shortcut to the default split/merge channel functionality of Photoshop. It is a fully-automated method of generating your bitmapped channels. Allowing you to configure all of your settings. You can even set whether you want to use a flamenco or rosette halftones. If you select the rosette style, you can set each channel's angle separately. In addition, you can choose to have the bitmaps in one file, or you can split them into multiple documents.
