Hegelian Literary Perspectives

The articles in this collection are reprinted from earlier publications, mainly journals published 1963-1999; they were chosen as examples of critical assessments from a Hegelian point of view, especially with regard to the arts, drama in particular. The topics presented are diverse, including essays on Shakespeare, Pirandello, Albee, and Arthur Miller and a critical introduction to Hegel's Aesthetics . The essays are annotated but there is no index. Henry Paolucci (d. 1999) was emeritus in government and politics at St. John's U., New York.
