Along with two to four other mercenaries, travel the globe. There are more than 1,000 talents to learn for each of the 17 distinctive characters! Before embarking on your Quest or event to explore Gloomhaven's gloomy caverns and terrifying forest, prepare your deck of ability cards. Choose two cards for each mercenary each round to engage in tactical turn-based combat once you've entered a Dungeon. Plan wisely since you can only use the top half of one and the bottom part of the other! Use the hex grid Terrain by raising your hired blades to take advantage of the Dungeon's surroundings. Create lethal combinations and unleash destructive abilities, but be mindful of the price. Watch out for weariness because cards are a resource that is as valuable and limited as your life points. Every decision has a life-or-death outcome. You can hone your skills with upgrades and perks as you go through the Game and gain new equipment and levels. To survive here, you must take any advantage you can get. So arm your mercenary team, hunt for powerful artefacts, curry the Great Oak's favour, and always keep your guard up. This branching campaign of 95-story missions, adapted from the original Gloomhaven Board Game, puts your avarice against your morality. The city of Gloomhaven is under attack from several strong rivals, and others are searching for lost artefacts and crypts from the past. You could always support the locals, which may bring in little money. Whatever path you choose, it will be paved with challenging decisions. The Guildmaster adventure, developed with the community during early access, contains more than 160 unique digital missions that let you explore another side of Gloomhaven with new plotlines, tasks, maps, and NPCs.
