Gate to Caesar

The Gate to Caesar by William C. Collar is a textbook that introduces the intermediate Latin student to the works of one of the greatest men of action in history. Caesar was a ruler, leader, general, diplomat, historian and writer of the first order. This book contains excerpts from his history of the Gallic Wars. Divided into two parts, the book first presents simplified versions of the text before presenting them as actually written by Caesar. This book has been retypeset and the notes placed with their respective chapters in order to limit page-turning and create a positive learning experience for the modern-day learner.
