The digital root and extra-large sensor zone measures the soil moisture at the roots, where plants or your lawn need it most. The soil moisture sensor then relays the information back to the GARDENA Smart Gateway (sold separately) via radio waves, which updates the GARDENA app, so you have all the information you need at your fingertips. The compact design allows it to be installed discreetly in your garden, and will not interfere with a robotic mower, for example. Pair the GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor with a GARDENA Automatic Irrigation Control for automated, care-free watering. The sensor is powered by 2 x AA batteries (not included).
