French Curves & Guides for Procreate

The exception to this is the Pixel Brush , which I've included as a stand-alone .brush file because it doesn't seem to fit in any of the categories. --- OVERVIEW --- REtrace This set so far includes 36 stamps of the so-called French Curve guides used by Fashion and Product designers. There are in fact 18 unique brush shapes in the set. However, each one has an alternative variant of the brush shape with a semi-transparent fill, while the originals are just outlined. Geometrica Another very basic functionality that is sadly overlooked by the developers of Procreate. The app does support the creation of a perfect geometric shape to some extent. These include a circle, a square and a triangle. If you're looking for more complex shapes - such as a hexagon, for example - then you are going to have to eyeball it. Fortunately, this pack includes all the forms mentioned above, as well as a few other common geometric shapes, such as: - Circle - Square - Triangle - Hexagon; - Octagon; - Rhomb - Trapezoid - Gem - Diamond - Spiral; - Golden Ratio spiral - Heart; - Stars x5 variations - Half-Arc 1/4 of a circle ; - Full Arc 1/2 of a circle ; - Moon; - Crescent; - Golden Ratio progrssions circles, squares, triangles, hexagons, octagons ; It is noteworthy to mention that the majority of brushes in this set are supplemented with mirrored variations in both axes to help increase your workflow speed. Anglomatic A set of 13 brushes that have a brush shape of a straight line rotated at a specific angle with a starting and an end point. The angle range starts from 0 and goes full circle up to 360 at 15 intervals. In this set, there is also a full 0-360 Protractor brush I've included which essentially combines the functionality of all other 12 brushes into a single brush. The rendering for these brushes has been greatly improved and will now give you crisper stamps than before. Inflow Scraps Quite useful brush pack that lets you mark down comments and create moodboard information structure during the sketching phase. In this set, you will find the following clipart stamps and inkers: - x3 types of liners with additional variants moniline, double line, dotted-single, dashed-single, dotted-double, dashed-double - x7 types of alert/information structure icons - x8 types of handdrawn paper planes - x13 types of handdrawn arrowheads - x4 types of arrow tails Drafting Grids A set of 11 brushes that let you quickly and easily generate a grid pattern on the canvas. The following types of grids are included: - Squared - Dotted - Lined Each type further includes three pre-defined size/density variations Dense, Medium, and Sparse . The brushes were all individually designed from scratch to make sure that the pattern looks legible and consistent for its scale. The Dotted grids are designed with different grain size to help with legibility. When overlaid on top of one another, this smart trick also gives you the effect of subdivisions. Pixel Brush Basic pixel art pencil brush within the limitations of Procreate. This brush is fully functional and capable of rendering pixel art. However, do keep some things in mind. - base size is 1px - if you want a 1px stroke, you should always decrease the brush size controls to minimum. - do not adjust the flow and opacity of the brush. - precise stroke sizes in Procreate are not currently possible. This means that you can't get your brush to exactly 2px, 3px, etc. - Procreate always tries to add anti-aliasing to strokes, thereby softening the edges where possible. - you should work with document sizes that make sense for pixel art. - activate the Drawing Assist and lower the grid size all the way down. - when wokring with the Drawing Assist guides, make sure that your Apple Pencil tip touches the inside of the pixel square and not the edges surrounding it; otherwise, your sroke will occupy both squares on each side of the edge ie. 2px instead of 1px . Length Rulers Procreate is by no means a technical drawing app. But that doesn't mean that you can't use it as such. I've designed a set of accurate length rulers that measure length in both milimeters and inches. Each format is created as a standalone asset with pre-defined lengths. For example, metric rulers are available in the following ranges: - 10cm - 20cm - 30cm - 50 cm Imeprial rulers are only available in 10" and 20" lengths. Each guide system is further categorized by a different resolution, either 72dpi or 300dpi. You should only use the guides that match your document resolution.
