The adapter has an image angle magnification of 0.71x, which means that a lens with a focal length of 50mm has a focal length of 35mm. By concentrating the light in this way, the adapter also increases the light collection ability by about one stop, so that an aperture of f/1.2 instead becomes f/0.9.
