This is a book about "great ideas" and will argue that the great ideas that have shaped American life and Western civilization find their source in the Christian faith. Ideas have consequences. And great ideas change the world, for good or ill. As journalist George F. Will put it in a recent speech, "A long life in journalism and around Washington, D.C., has taught me not just that ideas have consequences, but that only ideas have large and lasting consequences."
