The plot of this game follows a character named Tidus who comes to a fantasy world named Spira after the place he once called home is destroyed by a ruthless monster named Sin. In Spira, Tidus meets a summoner named Yuna who wishes to destroy the beast as well. Hence, the two join forces in order to accomplish a common objective. The gameplay sees the player controlling Tidus and interacting with the people and objects of the game world. Battle is turn-based, hence, the player can only attack or defend after the monster is done with its assault and vice-versa. The town and world maps have been combined, hence the in-game world is one magnificent expanse. This game has multiple endings and a variation of the character class system too. Final Fantasy X-2 mainly revolves around Yuna from the prequel who is out to put an end to the rising political conflicts so as to prevent all-out war. The gameplay of this game doesn’t build on Final Fantasy X, instead, it involves the character leveling up after a particular number of battles and gaining stat bonuses. The active time battle system has been implemented for the battles in this game which allows an enemy’s attack to be interrupted just before they jump into action. Furthermore, characters and enemies can unleash a barrage of combos to execute greater damage.
