Both exploration and combat are performed in real-time with the exception of the Active Time Battle system (ATB) that allows pausing the game once the ability bar is filled by attacking enemies. Each character has a set of unique abilities, the party is able to summon giant creatures to help them and use special charged attacks. Outside of action combat, you'll be managing the party's equipment and magic to prepare them for the fights to come!
