Environmental Impact Assessment

The author views the EIA (environmental impact assessment) process which culminates in either an EA (environmental assessment) or an EIS (environmental impact statement) as consisting of six components: basics, impact identification, description of the affected environment, prediction and assessment of impacts, selection of proposed action, and documentation in accordance with extant guidelines.
