Education : a way ahead / Mary Warnock [first edition]

The author argues that our educational needs must be assessed in the light of certain educational goals, common aims having to do with the life the child will lead after school. After making a case for the provision of more nursery education, the book goes on to discuss the curriculum at school and the structure and methods of examinations and assessment. The author shows the comprehensive ideal has been unduly muddied by the claims of quality.
