Down the Swale

When you’re only one foot tall, chasing gnomes down swales probably isn’t a good idea.... Brogden is one of the ‘Foots,’ and he lives with his two aunts in a tiny hut on the hills of Lake Wahkmo. On the day of the big flood, the swale begins to swell like it‘s never swelled before. When Brogden spots a gnome caught in its rapids, he ignores his aunts’ repeated warnings to steer clear of the swale and wades in. He is quickly swept down to the dark waters of the lake, and from there he embarks upon the adventure of his life. As he encounters both friend and foe alike, he discovers his bravery, his strength, and his courage. But most important of all, he comes across a creature like none he’s ever seen, and he learns that even the smallest among us can make a big difference.
