Este libro fue compuesto a partir de pequeños textos independientes que formaron una especie de mosaico autobiográfico.El autor explica en el prefacio que lo llamó "Dos relatos porteños" a pesar que cuenta una sola historia porque esa historia transcurre en dos ciudades, París y Buenos Aires, y habla tanto de un pasado lejano (la infancia) como de algo queaconteció en el pasado inmediato a su escritura. Escari fueuno de los protagonistas de la vanguardia porteña de los años 60 nucleada en torno al Instituto Di Tella. En 1967 fue becado por el gobierno francés para estudiar en la Ecole Practique des Hautes Etudes de París, ciudad donde vivió hasta 1997. Ha publicado "Doctor Pychon : relato autobiográfico".
