Nippon Ichi Software created and released the strategic position title Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories for the PlayStation 2 gaming system. Disgaea 2 is the PlayStation 2 version of the 2003 video Game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Additionally, it is Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice on the PlayStation 3's precursor. Disgaea 2 contains an animation introductory cinematic and is on DVD-ROM, in contrast to Nippon Ichi's earlier titles. In Japan, it was re-published on the PlayStation Portable as Disgaea 2 Mobile, while in North America and Europe, it was published as Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. 2017 saw a PC re-release of it. Action Game Disgaea 2 has 13 episodes in total. Cut clips at the beginning of each episode describe Adell's upcoming task. The action then switches to Adell in his home hometown of Holt. The village is a starting point for side missions, the dark court, plot regions, and the material world. A new area is unlocked at the start of each book. To go on to the next episode, you must complete the levels in each location. Gamers will have the choice of either exploring the brand-new territory or replaying any already-beaten areas after speaking with the gatekeepers of Holt. Several maps also have chopped sequences. Each chapter must have the opening and closing sequences. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness' action is immediately carried over into Disgaea 2, where gamers command a group of personalities to engage in combat on a 3D isometric square battlefield. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness has a Game type called Item World again. The player can choose any item in the party's arsenal and enter. The complexity of the adversaries varies according to the item's uniqueness or strength, and the levels therein are produced randomly. There are two ways to leave the Item World: either by using an escape portal that may be found somewhere in each area or by eliminating every enemy on a certain Level. By eliminating them, extraordinary adversaries known as Guardians can be released, bestowing the item with advantages such as improved attack or defensive ratings. Storyline A strong Sovereign by the title of Zenon descended upon Veldime fifteen years ago and cursed its populace. Since then, every person there has turned into a demon and will continue to do so if the curse is not lifted. The only person who was untouched by the curse was a young guy by the name of Adell. Adell chooses to find and fight Overlord Zenon to rescue his relatives and transform them into their original selves. When Adell's grandmother tries to call Zenon but is unsuccessful, she calls Rozalin, Zenon's son. Afterwards, they embark on a mission to track down Zenon, deliver Rozalin to him, and defeat him to break the curse and restore humanity to the Earth.
