The basic game starts a year on from SIVA crisis, when the Red Legion started an attack on Last City, which is the last one standing safe place on the planet. The Cabal forces of the Legion destroy the Guardian’s headquarters located in the Tower.The main protagonist, the Guardian and its Ghost decide to take revenge and attack the Red Legion’s ship. In the unfolding events, the Guardian is on the brink of death at the hands of Ghaul. Two days later he wakes up from coma and together with other Guardians find a haven called The Farm, located in the European Dead Zone. The action continues to be focused on the Guardians and the Red Legion rivalry and their fight for the Last City. The first DLC: The Curse of Osiris starts when Ikora calls Guardians to the Tower to let them know that there are some remains of the Ghost on Mercury. The Ghost used to belong to her former mentor- the Warlock Osiris, that had been exiled from the Lost City long time ago.The mission of Ikora to the Mercury to get the remains back, learn about her past and reconnect with her mentor starts. Warmind DLC takes place on Mars, where the Guardian sets to in order to chase the Red Legion’s remnants. Forsaken add-on follows the storyline of the Guardian and Cayde-6 travelling to the Reef.There they help Petra Venj in calming down a breakout from the Prison of Elders. Things escalate quickly as prisoners escape. Cayda sets off to look for them. Sadly, he is murdered during an attack, by the Scorn, his Ghost gets annihilated and the Guardian’s and Petra’s attempts to rescue the mission fall flat. There are also nine new Super Abilities, Strikes and much more.Player Versus Environment (PvE) In Destiny 2 and all of the add-ons available in the Legendary Blizzard edition, the PvE gameplay makes the most of the game. Crucible has two versions: competitive and quickplay.Quickplay covers Clash, Supremacy and Control modes, whereas competitive: Countdown or Survival modes. These all are on rotation. Destiny 2 introduced two modes of PvP gameplay: Survival and Countdown.Trials of the Nine are a new feature replacing Trials of Osiris that happen every Friday and last till Tuesday. Instead of Elimination mode, now Trials has rotation between two new modes to the Destiny series: Survival and Countdown. Trials of the Nine comes with the social space The Sore, that is located in a hidden spot. In Destiny 2 there is also Iron Banner PvP mode.
