Exotic New Rewards Beyond Light ushers in an exciting new chapter in the Destiny 2 universe, whole with new quests, challenges, and weapons Players journey to Jupiter's icy moon Europa to encounter the Fallen Kell Eramis, who intends to use the authority of the Darkness to save her people and exact revenge on the Traveller back on Earth, believing that the Traveler abandoned them before the Golden Period of humanity. The player's Guardian gains this new Darkness-based power as part of the Stasis subclass, which also gains new ice-based skills that can freeze enemies. The Exo Stranger from the original Destiny campaign returns, as does Variks from the initial game's House of Wolves development, both of whom guide the Guardian on Europa. Gameplay: Beyond Light retains the prior game experience of Destiny 2; the player, as a Guardian with the power of Light, battles in a combination of the first and 3rd shooter multiplayer in both player versus surroundings and player vs player activities in a multiplayer online battle Arena game world. Tournament games include matches with other Protectors in the Crucible or a team versus-team mode in the Gambit Arena. In contrast, collaborations include numerous bounties, tale missions, "strikes," Dungeon crawls, raids, open-world public events, and special seasonal events. Players are rewarded with new weapons, armour, and materials that can be used as in-game currency to purchase or upgrade other items.
