Dark Souls 2(for PS3)

In the darkness all you have to defend yourself is you. A single-player/multiplayer action role-playing third-person game for the PS3 console, Dark Souls 2 is set in a wicked and hostile world named Drangleic to which the protagonist, the cursed Undead, and others of his like are drawn to. Having received a PEGI rating of 16, the protagonist of this game strives to collect souls of various vicious creatures so as to delay the effects of the curse that has been placed on him which slowly eats away the memories that he treasures so dearly. Desperate to find a cure for his curse, the Undead has to embark on a voyage through the treacherous land while clinging on to the meager hope that he will somehow regain his humanity. The gameplay sees the player customizing their character’s gender and physical features while choosing a starting class which will decide the basic stats and equipment that the character wields. Hosting an open world environment, the player has to explore the murky depths of the dangerous world that awaits them while battling legions of relentless enemies which eventually leads the player to mighty boss monsters. The souls that are collected along the course of the game can be used as a currency as well as a means to up the attributes of the character. The story telling unfolds through NPC interaction and item descriptions. Featuring a multiplayer mode that allows players to combat against each other, as well as spar without fatalities, this game is definitely an awe-inspiring journey.
