In the five years since the first edition if the Central Java Handbook was issued, there have been a number of changes in the province which was proud of winning the “Parasamya Purna Karya Nugraha” award for the province most successful with its development in the period of the Second Five-Year Plan (PELITA II) which covered the fiscal years of I April 1974-31 March 1979.
