This Bright Tangerine baseplate kit is designed for RED Komodo users wanting to add the quick-release 15mm LWS baseplate with support for 15mm rods. The top stage releases the DJI dovetail, so you can quickly transition to a DJI RS 2/RSC 2 gimbal, and the lower stage allows you to securely lock off the camera onto any ARRI standard balance plate. The whole kit combined is extremely light-weight & low profile, which keeps all of your RED Komodo builds, nimble and compact.

Using the patented Open-UP Quick Release System, you can quickly change from handheld shooting to tripod in seconds. Securely mount to any ARRI standard dovetail or Left Field plate with vertical release. The universal baseplate can be used with multiple camera systems by simply swapping the riser blocks.The Left Field 15mm LWS Quick Release Baseplate Core Mk II is a universal baseplate designed to work with a number of camera systems using interchangeable riser blocks to provide the correct optical height for each camera.If you own, rent or work with multiple cameras, you can simply swap out the riser block to get the correct optical height for multiple cameras.The baseplate uses the patented Open-UP Quick Release system to work with any standard ARRI dovetail and can also be used with the low profile Left Field ARRI Dovetail Plate to quickly go from tripod to shoulder mount or gimbal. The sliding base also helps to provide optimal balance for the camera operator.The three-stage lever lets you vertically release, slide and securely lock into place. A safety mechanism prevents any accidental releases. Safety stops on the bottom of the baseplate engage with full-size ARRI dovetail safety stops and can be retracted when used with the Left Field Dovetail plate, perfect for transitioning from tripod to shoulder mount or gimbal. The sliding base also helps to provide optimal balance for the camera operator.The baseplate mounts two industry-standard 15mm LWS rods which are secured with the kip levers. If you need to travel frequently or pack light, two sets of shorter rods can be used to create a longer rod mount.
