The BESSEY rapid action clamps offer an interesting combination of features and benefits in a single clamp. The unusual internal mechanism means that the clamping bolt will move twice as far per handle turn as a normal ACME threaded spindle, this makes for very quick set-up times. This clamp also features a positive pinching action. The pressure pad cannot rotate; therefore, there can be no twisting action transferred to the surface of the work piece, as sometimes happens with regular swivel pads, keeping the work pieces from twisting out of alignment.
