Beattles

They were the 'four lads from Liverpool" who changed pop music forever. They were The Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. In 1963, Beatlemania erupted full force, and they were in the words of John Lennon, "The Greatest Show On Earth." They were the biggest concert draw of their time, and the most important and popular musical phenomenon of the century. Their records outsold all their competitors during the 1960s. Twenty years after they stopped recording, the recordings of the 'Fab Four' still outsold the works of many of the current bands at that time. Their music and lyrics changed the lives of that generation---and the generation that followed. Twenty years later, another generation---people too young to ever have had a chance to hear them live---drew both pleasure and inspiration from their music.
