The Southern Isles are under the prospect of a fresh danger. A terrifying, enraging demon terrorizes the populace and gathers his forces to attack the seaside town of Setarrif. After a volcanic explosion in the neighbouring slopes, the already tragic scenario gets worse. The unnamed warrior then rallies his staunchest supporters behind him and bravely takes on the new threat. The standalone extension forArcania: Gothic four is titled Arcania: Fall of Setarrif. After a protracted period of quiet from both distributors and an indefinite postponement in March 2011, it was finally published on October 25, 2011. On December 9, 2010, Spellbound Entertainment and JoWooD made the announcement. Even though king Rhobar III was released from the devil's influence, the fight was not done. The monarch already commanded his men to take Setarrif, but neither his soldiers nor the terrified populace has been able to communicate. After King Rhobar III's demon was cast out, it travelled to Setarrif searching for a new host. Chaos and anarchy quickly develop in Setarrif, which is isolated from the remainder of the island. These realities upset King Rhobar III, who worries about losing the town and some of his comrades in Setarrif.
